In ACDS integrated classrooms, you will see typically developing students learning alongside children with special needs. Emphasis is based on the aquistion of skill in the following areas: pre-academics aligned with New York State Preschool Standards, language and communication, socialization, adaptive skills, and fine and gross motor development.

The goal of our preschool program is to provide our children with the foundational skills necessary for success upon transition into kindergarten.

Our curriculum includes the Letter People, Handwriting Without Tears, and Hands on Math. The chidren have “specials” that include music, movement and exercise, gym class and nature walks around the school.

Through out the year there are many special events that take place.
